The Granite Bay dominance that was on full display at the Sierra Foothill League individual tennis finals continued at the section championships late last week.

Lily and Chloe Forlini raced through the doubles bracket, losing just six games in three matches in advancing to the section final against their SFL rivals from Del Oro. Just as they did at the league finals, the Grizzly duo took care of Bryn Bacharach and Hailey Shaban at sections, taking the final 7-5, 7-6 (6-4).

The singles competition was all Granite Bay as Karolina and Kammy Kecki roared through their respective sides of the draw before facing off against each other in the title match.

Kammy rolled through the first two rounds before winning a hard-fought semifinal against Oak Ridge’s talented freshman Tori Trylovich. Karolina lost just three games in three matches before handling Kammy once again in the section final 6-4, 6-3.

The entire Granite Bay team faced off with Oak Ridge in the section team final Tuesday.
